ineke hans: swing wing furniture collection

‘swing’ and ‘wing’ chair and desk collection by ineke hans

‘swing’ and ‘wing’ are dutch designer ineke hans‘ latest chair and desk pieces. by using simple looking frames made by connecting complicated angles of laser-cut and folded rectangular tubes, the ‘swing’ series results in comfortable seating surfaces due to its calibrated angular supports throughout the back rest and seat pan.

with ‘wing’, each of the tabletops have a long box that provides structural firmness to the desks, giving them added functionality. by creating space for plants or books and magazines, the containers become usable features with closing hinged lids, hiding computer cables and other electronic devices.

  • @tip
this furniture is not made for kids and that’s the worrying part of it.

  • @Airbone: the market is bigger than you think. the ergonomy argument of Antonie seems valid. don’t ruin your kids with emotional beaty 😉

  • ZEN style? I think the furniture of Ineke Hans is emotional design like Memphis Milano was in the late seventies/eighties. However the times are different, a revolution is no longer desirable. Her signature that is derived from furniture for children is a kind of anti-design. Suppose there is a small market for that.

  • Very nice! it likes ZEN style.
where can we buy this one.

  • where is the point of this chair design when there is no ergonomy
