tasked to design an object that required arduino (an open source electronics platform) to function, and included an on/off switch new york-based designer lousie-anne van ‘t riet has created ‘infinitum’. the table serves as a reminder to the notoriously untidy, lighting up when objects are placed on it, and giving people a backdrop to their objects. simultaneously, the surface also encourages them to clean up before they leave, since any item on the tabletop prevents it from turning off.
