exotic and painterly vistas unfold across inkiostro bianco’s fine art wallpapers
gio bressana and karen knorr’s wallpaper turn blank interiors into evocative spaces rich in culture, atmosphere, and artistic depth.
VISUAL NARRATIVES UNFOLD ACROSS VERTICAL SURFACES
Inkiostro Bianco expands its decorative language through an artistic wallcovering series designed by Gio Bressana and Karen Knorr, fusing painterly landscapes and photography to channel a powerful scenic impact. Exploring expressive contemporary narratives applied to vertical surfaces, these two distinct artists transform blank walls into backdrops that shape the identity of a space. This refined, instantly recognizable language dynamically bridges fine art and architectural interiors, offering designers a highly curated canvas capable of transforming environments into evocative spaces rich in culture, atmosphere, and artistic depth.

FROM RESIDENTIAL TO HIGH-END CONTRACT PROJECTS
The Italian design atelier weaves distinct creative visions across the architectural canvas, hosting a network of creators that offers customizable, immersive decoration. While the previous collection MATERIAPRIMA was pointing to materiality and cleanliness, Bressana’s and Knorr’s graphics fit into the brand’s most extroverted direction that integrates high narrative value into both custom residential layouts and high-end contract projects.

ART-FILLED WALLPAPERS WITH DISTINCT CREATIVE VISIONS
Gio Bressana’s design approach sources from historic references such as the Renaissance to Gothic and Baroque, Neoclassicism until contemporary times. He employs ancient painting techniques, translating natural landscapes into contemplative perspectives and graphic constructions shaped by a refined color palette. The artist signs the most famous fashion brands’ showrooms, private residences, and prestigious hotels, working for brands such as Roger Vivier, Fendi Home, Bentley Home, Roberto Cavalli, among others.
In direct stylistic counterpoint, renowned artist and photographer Karen Knorr introduces historical settings, symbolic animals, and layered cultural references to the walls. Her surreal scenographies are made through research and experimentation, inviting the observer to spot ambiguous images that fill the room. Knorr brings a rich background in cultural theory and international exhibitions, including showcases at theTate Britain and Modern, and at the Art Institute of Chicago, utilizing her distinct artistic language to challenge traditional representation within architectural spaces.
