‘insertion’ by jhih-jie liou and wei-lun wang from taiwan is an entry into the ‘iida 2010’ competition, organized by designboom in collaboration with incheon metropolitan city.

designer’s own words: insertion is a design that combines hangers and basket. after the laundry, hangers are no longer in need, and now you need a basket to contain dirty clothes. control the size of the basket by changing distance of hangers which insert into the bottom. when you need to sun-dry the clothes, just pull off those hangers when you want to sun-dry your clothes. getting hangers and the basket perfectly together to cut room wasting.
