american born artist jenny holzer is well-known for expressing her ideas and opinions predominantly through light projections and electronic signs. she often uses architecture as the beacons in which to project her work, with the public sphere playing a key role in how the statements are delivered and received.  this exhibition of interior light projections is the first in the US, filling the gallery space of building 5 with words, body and light, the viewer being completely enveloped into the experience. also on view are a new series of paintings which holzer displayed at the 2007 venice biennale. view a video of the projections here
