LA-based graphic artist joshua vides is known for his transformations of both everyday objects and occupiable space with a projection of monochromatic, hand-drawn illustrations. mapping the seams and edges of his subject with bold linework introduces a flattening effect and obscures three dimensional space into a whimsical cartoon. in celebration of this distinct style, the italian fashion giant FENDI has partnered with the designer in the collaborative summer takeover of harrods, london’s luxury department store. the fifth floor of the iconic space is wholly transformed with the FENDI caffe — its walls, floor, and furniture rendered entirely in the signature graphic black and white.
