dutch designer jurgen bey has created ‘stubborn chair’ for dutch company ngispen. the furniture object is comprised of two stackable chairs that have been placed slightly off center from one another, then heated and melted to form on piece.

‘one never sits on a chair the way it is meant to be used: you sit on it like this, or you could sit on it like this,‘ says bey as he shifts positions in the chair. ‘in the end you’ll have a chair that is never right, and that is always right – a very stubborn chair.’

the chair will be available in rough, smooth and upholstered versions.
