british designer karen ryan‘s ‘whittle no. 3’ takes an unvalued object and up-cycles it. a continuation of her whittle chair series, ryan’s ‘whittle no. 3’ embodies the notion of DIY up-cycling by using nothing more than a discarded chair, a penknife and her time.
