karim rashid’s limited edition fall/winter coat series for the tenth anniversary of peuterey

in celebration of the 10th anniversary of peuterey italian outerwear producers and the new york-based designer karim rashid have collaborated on a limited edition fall/winter 2012-2013 coat series.

the 200-piece collection is a review of the historical ‘guardian’ (men’s) and ‘sceptre’ (women’s) outerwear of the brand, redesigned in bright colours and a dynamic striped pattern and detailing to reflect the contemporary digital world.

‘with the colour frequencies and interferences I have designed for peuterey I wanted to codify the era of information and of a high-speed material world,‘ rashid elaborates. ‘today we can create decorations, models, colours and fabrics directly related to a dual universe, increasingly focused on digitalization, which I refer to as ‘digipop’: a language made of energy, data, and connectivity.’
