belgian designer kaspar hamacher has developed ‘stein no. 1’; the first installment of a limited edition series. the low standing coffee table is carved from the trunk of a massive oak tree. the raw nature of the work is reinforced by the visible wood grain and organic shape, echoing that of a weather-worn stone.

”stein no. 1′ is the anchor for balance and tranquility in the life of its owner, as if it would still rest on the riverbank with water slowly forming its signature.’ -kaspar hamacher
