focusing on the creation of a comfortable chair that balances both material and aesthetics, tokyo-based designer keisuke fujiwara has developed a ‘beveled edge chair and side table’. by removing the edges with a 45 degree chamfered angle, all 12 sides of the furniture pieces contrast the natural wood underlay and red painted exterior surface. both the seat and side rack utilize a traditional dowel and glue construction, which are both configured to match the heights of the arm chair and seat pan.
