Six standard colorways — silver, black, green, orange, and pink metallic variants — are joined by a chrome-like secret edition with odds of one in forty-eight. A six-piece set guarantees one of each standard model, while collectors still have a chance of uncovering the rare finish. RETO continues to lean into the collectible appeal that helped fuel the original camera’s popularity, combining surprise packaging with working photography hardware.

Rather than revisiting Kodak’s 1987 Fling disposable camera as the first Charmera did, the Millennium Edition looks to the dawn of digital imaging. Rounded translucent-inspired forms, reflective metallic shells and pixel graphics reference the optimistic design language of the early 2000s, when compact digital cameras were becoming everyday accessories. Inside, the hardware remains intentionally modest. The miniature camera houses a 1.6-megapixel CMOS sensor paired with a fixed 35mm equivalent f/2.4 lens, recording still images and 1440 × 1080 video at 30 frames per second. A tiny rear display sits alongside an optical viewfinder, while USB-C handles charging and file transfers. Images are stored on a separately purchased microSD card, and the entire device weighs around 30 grams — light enough to function as an everyday bag charm as much as a camera.

As with the original release, image quality isn’t the selling point. Instead, the Charmera embraces imperfect, low-resolution photography as part of a broader revival of vintage digital cameras, transforming nostalgic aesthetics into an object that’s equally collectible and usable.
