konstantin grcic : 360° chair and containers for magis

complementary to the 360° chair and stool, german designer konstantin grcic added a container series, consisting of a plastic (ABS) drawer unit which swivels out from a vertical pole to open. the 360° container is available with five or ten drawers and comes in various colours (black, white, orange, olive green, red, light grey).

360° is not intended for long stints of work in a static position. instead it encourages a form of dynamic sitting, short term, ad hoc, improvised – moving around.

360° comes in two types, as a chair on castors and as a high stool. both versions have a gas piston for height adjustment.

  • the rotating containers: not so new
the chairs: trying very hard to look new

  • there are a lot of chairs to make a 360 turn…mmm..not the best of gricic..cause normally i really like his stuff.

    mathias
  • this is a bit too similar to Joe Colombo, but even so I would probably get one for the office. Donny the numbers indicate the rotation freedom the chair offers.

  • relax dont do it if you want to come…

  • luckily this office chair wasnt designed for long periods of work.
thats right, its an ‘out of work’ chair.or maybe a ‘chair none’
hang on, I think I already have one of those?

  • sorry to toss in my 2p worth, but gricic hasnt really managed to dispel the ‘one’ hit wonder tag in my book
ok, well, I guess that chair for basf wasnt too bad
    maybe a ‘1.5’ hit wonder?

    shelvetheseplease
  • and why did they put these awful angle-numbers to the ring… they don’t even make any sense, or could someone explain that to me?

    Donny
  • A bit boring, and Colombo has already done this.
