the konstantin grcic and plank collaboration continues with AVUS, a club chair paying tribute to the characteristic qualities of this classic furniture type. grcic’s collaboration with plank has been evolving for over a decade, with grcic working with the italian company on technical and material research especially related to plastic.

grcic‘s design sees a combination of plastic shell with leather upholstery, as traditionally seen on a club chair, generating a diversity of surfaces. AVUS is available in a wide spectrum of colour combinations, reaching from complete monochrome to strong contrasts and has been designed for clubs, restaurants, hotels and any public or private lounge spaces.

in 2017, the designer unveiled the monza bistro chair for plank during milan design week, combining plastic with wood. in 2014 grcic expanded on his miura collection by refining the plastic materials from which they were originally made in 2005/7. in 2015 grcic also designed a stackable, plywood remo chair for plank.
