konstantin grcic presents PRO armchair for flötotto

in 2012, konstantin grcic debuted his ‘PRO’ chair for flötotto — envisioned for use in schools and other educational institutions, to support users movement by allowing a range of sitting positions. since then, the distinctive formal language of ‘PRO’ has been constantly evolving, and now the chair can be found in a range of other interiors. throughout its development the most striking feature of the dynamic backrest with a signature S-shape has remained. the curve removes strain from the back and pelvis, and has a positive effect on blood circulation. at the same time, its three-dimensional form lends stability and creates a comfortable sitting experience.

at the 2015 salone del mobile, flötotto brought forth another development of design with the ‘PRO’ armchair, featuring a broad spectrum of colorful padding available with leather, and other high-end textile covers; including luxury fabrics created by fashion creative raf simons for danish textiles manufacturer kvadrat. the padded design of konstantin grcic is targeted at architects wanting to create customized solutions for waiting areas, as well as for use in conference and seminar rooms, bars and restaurants. all ‘PRO’ armchair seat shells are available in 6 different colours: snow white, granite grey, graphite black, aqua blue, kiwi green, coral red; and are complemented by a range of new bases: four-star oak wood base, four-star aluminium base, four-legged wooden base, beech plywood and X-frame with or without castors.
