naoto fukasawa‘s LAND is a lounge chair whose low seating height provides the feeling of sitting in a sports car. designed for italian design furniture company plank, the chair is made of recyclable polyethylene, produced using a rotational plastic molding technology.

in collaboration with plank, naoto fukasawa seeks to balance the relation between form and character, expression and fluidity. distinctive for its pure lines, LAND was born to serve as an outdoor seat, but its elegant design makes it suitable for indoor use too. its low, slightly inclined seat promotes a relaxed posture with outstretched legs and supported back and head, while the extended seating offers space for an extra person or item.
