terzo piano explores materials, design + illusion through photo-realistic renders
these images play with the public's perception, attempting to captivate it.
italy-based terzo piano is an image-production studio that creates visuals through modeling and photorealistic 3D renderings. for this project titled ‘layers’, the team reveals a series of images that explore three levels made of materials, design and illusion.

as mentioned, terzo piano‘s crafted images trace a path on three different levels. the first one lead to the discovery of material: raw, porous, alive. the second level draws furniture shapes, their irregular and unexpected volumes that are still extremely contemporary. finally, the third level gives depth to create the setting: a staircase suggests a climb, an arch and two doors lead to a small opening etc… but ultimately there is the layer of illusion, of prospective view — playing with the viewer in an attempt to captivate them.
