the ‘brass collection’ is an industrial collaboration between austrian designer lee west and the werkstätte carl auböck in vienna. the project pivots around the process of making and the materials used by craftspeople. the contemporary aesthetic exists though alloy tubes and spun forms assembled and combined to create a range of products. two finishes perfected by the workshop are used, mirror polished and patinated with dark aubergine marbled effect. the objects are made to last a long time and developed to encourage daily use.
