‘lime-pocket’ is, you guessed it, a little jacket for a slice of citrus — an accessory made for adding a twist of lemon or lime to gin-based drinks. nendo designed the blue silicon skin for bombay sapphire to keep fingers clean and dry when squeezing a spritz of juice to a cocktail; which can also be easily hung on the edge of one’s glass. as a response to the difficulties of advertising the spirits that are used in a cocktail, ‘lime-pocket’ also features the bombay sapphire logo.

well, the designboom team deliberated over whether or not the ‘lime-pocket’ really is essential, and we’ve decided that we prefer our limes au naturel.

  • I agree with the design boom team. I think we really have better ways to spend oil for than a2nd silicon lemon skin against wet fingers.
Nendo can better than waste his time on merchandising products. It’s notminimal, elegant, romantic, posh,it’s just a cheap brand gatget, which could damage the elegant and nobel image of the Bombay Saphire brand.
How a bout to wrap it elegantly in a more sustainable linen fabric, bamboo, etc?
