patricia urquiola introduces biscuit floors at milan design week 2015

‘biscuit’ is the result of in-depth analysis of traditional parquet fitting systems by patricia urquiola. the flooring, commissioned by listone giordano, seamlessly interlaces historical legacy with contemporary styling. rounded edges modify the linear shape of sections, endowing them with a strong, but soft personality. each design relates specifically to a different visual language, including: inlay, mosaic, herringbone, and brick pattern. ‘biscuit’s’ free composition of lines and shapes turns any room into a rich space. the design will be presented at milan design week 2015.
