Loris Dadda designs Napow (NAP On the Way) jacket

Designer Loris Dadda introduces Napow, a jacket designed to allow users to comfortably catch a nap during transportation. The project’s primary objective is to isolate the user from external light and compose a sturdy body that supports the head and neck ensuring an optimal nap environment.

In a society that operates around the clock, sleep has transitioned from a basic necessity to a scarce luxury. This transformation finds resonance within Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, underpinning the emergence of numerous challenges like insomnia, anxiety, and depression. The repercussions of sleep deprivation are profound, adversely affecting both mental and physical well-being. This mounting exhaustion often compels individuals to bridge the gap with daytime naps, which can occur in diverse scenarios such as during commutes or even within airport terminals. These makeshift rests, however, often lead to stiffness and discomfort upon awakening.
