louis vuitton has further expanded its objets nomades collection with three new pieces: atelier biagetti’s anemona table, atelier oï’s serpentine table, and tokujin yoshioka’s blossom vase. presented alongside a selection of existing objects during design miami/ 2018, the three new creations have joined pieces by international designers including the campana brothers, barber & osgerby, india mahdavi, patricia urquiola, and andré fu.

every piece in the louis vuitton objets nomades collection combines each designer’s creativity with the fashion house’s unparalleled savoir-faire, resulting in refined, inventive, and functional furniture and objects. the latest studio to contribute a piece to the collection is atelier biagetti, the italian practice of designer alberto biagetti and artist laura baldassari, who first presented the anemona table at design miami/ this year. the undulating, glass-topped object features a rippling base with a blue lacquer interior and soft beige exterior in natural leather that pays homage to the adriatic sea near the designers’ hometown of ravenna, and the billowing costumes at la scala opera house in milan, where their studio is based.

the second table recently added to the objet nomade collection is atelier’s oï’s serpentine, whose form draws from the complex, free-flowing movements of traditional dances. in a play of weight and tension, the swiss designers have combined a bevelled glass top with a base of intersecting, smooth american walnut legs held tight by finely worked straps made of blue louis vuitton leather.

the ever-expanding collection now also includes les petits nomades, a range of smaller decorative creations, one of which is now tokujin yoshioka’s swirling blossom vase. its clean lines reference louis vuitton’s classic monogram pattern and each vase is hand-blown in either clear or black glass by master artisans in murano, italy.

two new variations of existing objets nomades have also been presented at this year’s design miami/. the first is the campana brothers’ cocoon swing chair, originally created in 2015, which is now available with a blue-turquoise, sheepskin-covered shell and snug long-hair lambskin-covered cushions. second is hong kong designer andré fu’s ribbon dance chair, with its two-person seat and flowing curves, that now comes with turquoise cushions and an arm covered in rich black louis vuitton leather.
