mabeo furniture, located in gaborone, botswana, recently launched their new collection designed by patty johnson at this year’s ICFF. the collection was met with lots of praise, winning the ICFF editor’s award for best craftsmanship. the collection is part of johnson’s north south project , which helps southern hemisphere manufacturers find northern hemisphere markets for their products. founded by peter mabeo, the company has been servicing the south african market for many years. this new collection is mabeo’s first step into the international  market. the first collection merges african traditions with johnson’s contemporary design sensibilities.
