in 2009, french-born japan-based designer david guarino first presented his magazine library exhibition concept at  tokyo’s omotesando hills, a display of print publications including over 1000 international magazines, art books, zines and special editions from 47 countries. now in its 7th edition, the international magazine library made its way to designboom’s ‘yakitate!’ exhibition at dwell on design in los angeles, june 24 – 26, 2011. this pop-up exhibition focused on asian publications, most of which were japanese. it was the first time that many of these publications were brought to north america, providing a new source of material for magazine lovers.
