dating back to the 19th century, rocking horses have been a childhood staple for kids around the world. in 2016, maison deux released an updated version of the iconic toy for the new generation. having previously created three different designs, the cloud, the bowler hat and the watermelon, maison deux have added ‘the moon’ to its growing collection.

maison deux‘s rockers are created using solid french oak and upholstered with a durable fabric made from 100% wool by textile design company, kvadrat. the toys emphasize and encourage children’s coordination and balance skills, while creating a foundation for imaginative play. ‘who said a rocking horse has to be an actual horse?’ says pia weinberg, creative director at maison deux.
