french lighting manufacturer goodbye edison‘s presents their newest collection ‘woody’ – composed of three different lighting designs W01, W02 and W03 – at maison et objet 2012.

‘W01’ is a small hornbeam wood lamp which offers the appearance of a small lit table. both simple and contemporary in its appearance, it can be used next to a bed, on a work surface or on a piece of furniture and has an LED light source of 24V.

‘woody W03 + W02’ image © designboom

‘woody W02’ + ‘woody W03’ have forms which are influenced by old candle lamps. each has a round-shaped white matte steel backdrop in which the lighting element, embedded within a hornbeam dowel, reflects off of, offering a warm soft glow, diffusing the light. ‘W02′ measures L20 x W20 x H67 cm while ”W3’ is L20 x 20 x 39 cm.
