function and aesthetics become synonymous in the ‘life’ shower system, designed by giulio gianturco for italian bathroom furnishings brand makro. the project was developed with a rigorous attention to detail, with the intent to answer the demands of children, the elderly, disabled, etc. ‘life’ is an integrated sum that includes a rotating shower tray, technical wall unit with body dryer, a small shelf, and a crystal glass enclosure.

the ‘life’ system’s true innovation is the flush floor piece, which allows users to rotate easily while sitting on the included stool. when not needed, it can be locked in place to prevent unintentional movement. the design was realized by giulio gianturco for makro italia, and is to be presented publicly at salone del bagno milano — hall 24, stand C14 —  april 12 – 17, 2016.
