hand crafted reclaimed log furniture
the furniture series crafted out of tree logs combines industrial materials to underline the contrast between natural and artificial forms.
‘hand-crafted reclaimed log furniture’
designboom has received this furniture project which captures the essence of reclaimed material. a series of collected pine logs are turned into seating objects – without losing the characteristics of their natural form. an axe, chisel and a wooden hammer are used to shape each pieces – as its distinct features create a contrast between organic and industrial. the artificial addition – the legs, lamp and the multiplex, are extensions of the stumps.
