‘sparkling’ chair created by marcel wanders for magis is produced from plastic using a blow molding process commonly used in the making of PET bottles. presented at the 2010 salone del mobile, its transparent form and round ended legs are similar in aesthetic to that of soda bottles whom which they share the same production technique. the name of the design derives its influence from stars and their luminescent qualities, as the surface of the chair features light diffusing characteristics.
