suspended inside a floating metallic basket, the ‘light container’ by spanish designer martín azúa treats rays of illumination as something with weight and volume. dipping accordingly to the side, the immaterial nature of light is captured within the sculptural frame. constructed in a series of three different sizes, the shades can be hung individually or in groups. the inner glass diffuser generates a warm, dim light that produces soft shadows – suitable for a range of different spaces.
