matali crasset’s ‘stripe chair’ opposes the traditional garden seat using stretched slats placed lengthwise instead of the conventional perpendicular placement. one singular smooth curve flows from top to bottom forming an elegant curve across the brightly colored design.

the ‘stripe chair’ for garden manufacturer fermob, is produced in a number of highly graphic hues which adds a vibrant spalsh of color to a neutral interior. its comfort stems from its rounded shape which has been constructed using aluminium strips which appear as softly draped fabric. the product has been used in various projects by industrial designer matali crasset including mini R in orleans, strasbourg, besançon and in the geneva library.
