the royal glass factory of la granja now houses the rfc+ collection of thirteen suspended blown glass lamps designed by multidisciplinary firm, mayice studio. 22 moulds, some of which date back to the 1900’s, have been reused and revamped to create the light’s intricate haloing effect.

the glass generates halos on the ground as a result of the different moulds

abiding by the customary technique of cane-working, mayice studio uses clear and colorless glass to reveal the light’s reflection through the instillation. as a result of its timeless design and contemporary vision, rfc+ creates a dialogue between tradition, technology and natural beauty.
