meat purses and cut up sneakers by nancy wunancy wu is a product design student at the art center college of design in pasadena, california. her ‘100% beef jerky’ project provides a humorous take on designer accessories while ‘nike remixed and recut’ reinterprets how sports-shoes in the era of cut and paste.

nike remixed and recut reinterprets sportswear for a generation of open-minded and unorthodox consumers. rooted in authenticity but designed for a range of expressions, this footwear collection describes hybridization.

    Love seeing young designers push the idea between mediums, blending industrial design and art.
    It is good to see Art Center Product Designers being adventurous and simply not being designers will great technical skills but creative conceptual thought.
