avalon chair

designer michael young has developed a new avalon chair for swedish furniture company swedese. it is an easy or swivel chair with an automatic return, upholstered in the fabric, flex, from swedish supplier väveriet. it’s designed with a 360 degree swiveling base and comes in a wide range of colours.

swedese is exhibiting the avalon chair at the stockholm furniture fair 2010.

  • i remember when michael first appeared over 15 years ago … frankly even then his designs were becoming classics , he was just popping them out one by one , they caused a massive stir around the planet , i guess its more sophisticated now , which ultimately must boil down to good computers , good staff and age
