‘filla is a lightweight ash wood chair with back legs that branch out to support the two giant leaves that form the backrest,’ explains architect michele de lucchi. created in partnership with italian seating company very wood, the filla chair takes its cues from nature, both in form and material.

michele de lucchi created filla with a split backrest that imitates the shape of leaves, while its rounded edges bring to mind the annual growth rings of trees. available by very wood in natural or stained ash timber, the material recreates the graceful, irregular curves that timber gains with age as delicate lines of ‘peeled back’ ash wood form on the edges of the seat and backrest.
