DAAily Guide for Milan Design Week 2023

From the fairgrounds back to the city center, the DAAily guide for the city pinpoints bespoke showrooms and architectural landmarks that dot Milan’s growing design landscape. The curated list features showrooms, selected locations, events, and architect tips, as well as recommendations on activities to participate in and try while in Milan. The map drafts up a route to follow where places to hang out and break spots to laze about coincide with installations to witness and products to test.

Peeking through Designboom’s picks, fans of high-end luxury brands cross paths in the historic center, where the likes of Hermès, Issey Miyake, and Fornasetti showcase their design novelties. In Brera, the Time & Style showroom presents new products alongside a series of talks with Kengo Kuma, Claesson Koivisto Rune, and Drill Design, moderated by Designboom founder Birgit Lohmann. With the DAAily guide for the city, visitors are offered the possibility to experience the showrooms and events that mark Milan’s namesake as a design capital.

DAAily Bar is back!

The DAAily bar springs back in Milan, ending the fair-wandering day with nightlife immersed in DJ-filled parties every evening. This year’s theme centers around a space for creating connections, taking place once again at the Piazza Cavour’s Swiss Corner on the edge of Brera. The bar brings architects, designers, and a host of other creative professionals from the industry globally together for a week-long celebration, steeped in the artisanal spirits of Turicum, a handcrafted gin from Zurich.

The venue’s mirror-light-themed scenography has been developed by Swiss design studio pfeffermint with material by Hexis, ushering the visitors into a light-rich spectacle. The DAAily platforms select only reused and reusable design elements, managed by the Zurich-based company’s rental service event-setting, to drive forward the idea of making people mindful of their impact on the planet without limiting the concept or joy of celebration.
