miu miu unveils perforated stool inviting users to change its color like a board game

miu miu has teamed up with M / M to design a special limited-edition stool that can be easily personalized. made from linden wood, the design features systemetically distributed perforations inviting users to express themselves with 300 chubby match sticks.

presented like a board game, or a puzzle, users can personalize the surface of the stool. the matchsticks come in twelve different colors and can be used to create different designs. 

the three-legged stool was made in collaboration with creative agency M/M paris – a partnership of french graphic designer mathias augustyniak and french art director michael amzalag. the duo are familiar with the brand having worked with miu miu and its parent company prada on several other occasions. together they have developed mutli-dimensional projects including alphabets, exhibitions, and installations for fashion runway shows.

this exclusive collaboration intends to reflect a constant play where established forms are dismantled and re-assembled. ‘challenging and utterly inventive, the outcome is about the power of surprise‘, a statement from the brand reads.
