Nudaforma’s design, Bizarre, is a dynamic modular seating system that emphasizes the use of recycled polyurethane foam. The project underscores the importance of showcasing reused materials rather than hiding them, aligning with an eco-conscious approach that reduces the environmental impact of waste industries. Bizarre’s eccentric shapes and recycled core highlight functional sustainability while ensuring practicality and adaptability through ergonomic and modular design principles. The system offers personalized comfort with memory foam that conforms to the body and returns to its original form, available in four complementary modular solutions.

In pursuit of more sustainable furniture design, the studio questions the main use of virgin materials in sofa manufacturing. This led the founders, Filippo Salis and Marianna D’Antimo, to explore the possibility of using recycled foam instead. Through research and collaboration within Italy, they connected with a startup that collects old mattresses nationwide and transforms them into aggregates. This breakthrough confirmed that eco-friendly furniture design is feasible, inspiring the creation of Bizarre.
