french collective PZZL has designed a large system of indoor/outdoor seating intended for viewing performances, that combines the comfort of a deckchair with the structure of a bench. ‘transgrad’ is a modular structure composed of blue trusses and steel frames, and completed with pink fabric on the double seats, and in-between decks for circulation.

PZZL created the system for the public shows program of french theater company ‘la constellation’, and adapted its design based on the comfort of the spectator. transgrad’s lightweight elements make it easy to transport and be carried by the company during its tour, while the system’s modular character allows it to be assembled in many different ways. its design meets regulatory requirements and has been approved to receive public of all ages.
