as a creative person, I loathe meetings. yet, as a business owner, I need to be in them a lot. I’ve been using MOO for a long time, and I love the irony that people will be using my limited edition notebook while sitting in another boring meeting. I wanted to remind them to keep the meeting short,‘ says timothy goodman.

at MOO, design is at the heart of everything we do, and we celebrate that by partnering with some of our favorite designers to bring their unique take on our products to our customers,‘ said toby hextall, director of production design at MOO. ‘we love timothy’s sense of irony and powerful message, and all we could all use fewer meetings and more creativity in our lives!

MOO’s ‘meetings kill creativity’ notebook is their first collaboration with new york artist and illustrator timothy goodman. in his signature mural style, it features unique inspirational quotes, original illustrations, and even a full page illustration in the center pages. this artwork is dramatically aligned against a sunshine yellow paper backdrop and, similarly to the additional 16 yellow pages, adds bright interruptions to the notebook and as such, aims to inspire creativity. they act as a break from the formality of making notes during meetings.

as well as the distinctive decor, the notebook still delivers the same high quality of specially designed and thoughtful features as all products of the digital print and design company. the book is flush with swedish-made, archival munken kristall paper that provides a crisp, forever white non-glare canvas, which is silky smooth to touch and write upon. these are configured using swiss binding to ensure every page stays perfectly flat when in use.

making the notebook even more of a statement when at work, the front design is based upon a dramatic matte black and silver foil cover. this has been bound with cloth to further give it a feel of exceptional quality. as well, it comes with a custom-designed slipcase that keeps its design and pages protected and pristine. whether a list maker or habitual doodler, this is why the meetings kill creativity’ is the perfect office statement accessory and ideal gift for a colleague or organized relative. its exceptional quality enables the energy and inspirational details of the book to take effect and deliver more creativity in your next meeting.
