MSCHF AC.1 orthopedic boots make long walks painless, comfy, and stylish

Orthopedic boots that look so good

Fashionable fractured foot has never looked this good. MSCHF drops AC.1 as an orthopedic shoe design complete with straps, soft materials, and holes resembling ankle casts intended for painless and bearable long walks. The flexible mold supports the feet well and MSCHF’s patented WOWCOMFY! technology means sneaker aficionados can expect some comfortable strolling. A dual-airbag ankle support system refrains the strain, and since it is water-resistant, wearers can just bring the orthopedic boots in the shower.

If someone is willing to tap into their pick-me energy, MSCHF AC.1 might bring out just that. It calls the I’m-not-like-the-others clique to pick them up, plunge their perfectly fine feet into its soft padding, and sashay into the this-is-the-real-me persona. As MSCHF tells it, viewers should not lie since the first time they ever saw someone wearing one of these, they thought these bangers looked so good. That design is no longer just for viewing when a recently discharged patient wears them. It is now a commodity to own and wear, forever.

Now you can look broken while whole

Looking at the MSCHF AC.1 design, dual Velcro straps stabilize the wearer’s feet and ankles and are adjustable just in case they need breathing space or slip too much while walking. Candy-corn-shaped holes pepper the entire gray-colored shoe design, and  it looks like the black cast is removable, so there is a chance for the wearer to put on their funky and eye-popping socks for everyone to see.

The outsole bears a light blue color to add to the eye-catching feature as the wearer continues to walk. As MSCHF writes, injury is in and health is out. ‘Now you can look broken while still being whole,’ the company writes. MSCHF seems to imply that wearers can fly high when their strap on the orthopedic boots since they also add that wearers can jump higher than they have ever dreamed of. This suggests how soft and spongy the soles and materials of the orthopedic boots are.

Sorry, no returns, cancellations, or exchanges allowed

Everyone is jumping and flying. That is how MSCHF introduces AC.1. They keep asking questions like ‘who said medical equipment was never meant to be fly?’ and ‘who said cast was never meant to fly.’ (yes, the last one has a period rather than a question mark). The shoe company has designed its orthopedic boots not only for aesthetics, but also for utilitarian purposes.

‘The trend of functional medical accessories making the leap to fashion seems to have lagged. No longer. Let us push the envelope on what footwear is; footwear should be anything that you wear on your feet,’ the company writes. It did reimagine medical equipment with its new product that cost 450 USD (sorry, no returns, cancellations, or exchanges accepted). It will be available on their app from October 19th at 2:00pm ET. At least with MSCHF AC.1, wearers do not have to break their feet just to put them on.
