my cup by efrat gommeh

‘my cup’ by efrat gommeh

lock cup‘ by israeli designer efrat gommeh is an ex-equo honorable mention of the designboom ‘design a key and what it opens’ competition with beck’s. the design features a hole which prevents individuals, other than the owner, from using the mug, accompanied by a key to close the hole so that the drinking vessel then becomes usable.

now gommeh’s design fittingly goes by the name of ‘my cup’ and is for sale online by schneider. it measures 10cm high and 8cm in diameter and utilizes removable silicone plugs which the owner keeps possession of for use. so, if you’re tired of your co-workers using your favorite mug, this may be your answer!

‘my cup’

  • is this just me or did anyone else think glory hole?

    chrisk says:
  • well nope , i didn’t, i just thought butt plug.

maybe it’s a bit tongue in cheek ( or similar).

    nicey says:
  • I didnt think glory hole but i did think the “co-worker” would use duck tape to cover the hole. This is a fantastic idea that keeps honest people honest. But the honest people arent the targets here.

    charles says:
  • I initially thought the little red thing looked like a tiny red dick haha

    Josh says:
  • IT´S GREAT

    IVAN says:
  • That is genius!

    werekitty13 says:
  • you’re so vain…

    mud says:
  • love the little penis

    penne says:
  • Cool idea but nothing a tape can’t fix.

    Red pens says:
  • I think I’d probably loose the plug thus making the cup useless!

    Jonboy says:
  • have fun drinking glue particles that detach from the duct tape. non-fossil-based plastics for the plug and say goodbye to bisphenol a. enjoy your coffee!

    mpxy says:
  • Never mind the mug, I’ve always wanted a gnome penis key ring!

    gonefishin says:
  • Does it get any more phallic than this?

    the Turk says:
  • We need it????

    Dario says:
  • I will use my every last bit of energy to pull out that plug while the coffee is sitting above some nice anal Mac.
