nendo has collaborated with the furniture brand gebrüder thonet vienna to exhibit the ‘single-curve collection’ which includes a high and low stool and table set. the creative partnership sees the blending of the austrian company’s trademark bentwood aesthetic and the japanese designer’s distinctive style to create the single curved element. fabricated using high-quality techniques, the utmost care was taken to ensure that the materials, part sizes, and proportions all remain true to traditional THONET design. each piece is accentuated by a single bend- contrasting the straight nature of each piece and in turn, creating a strong and subtle sense of variation.
