renowned japanese design studio nendo has collaborated with leading smart device company OPPO to explore the possibilities of the future of design. first they unveiled a credit card-size phone that can unfold into three screens and now they’re back with music-link — a collection of devices centered around a pair of true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones that include a smartwatch, an AI speaker, a portable charger and a wireless one too.

designed in a sleek organic form, the music-link collection by nendo for OPPO aims to seamlessly connect the musical experience centered on the earbuds. when the TWS earphones and portable charging case are placed on the AI speaker, users can enjoy a seamless music experience transitioning from headphones to speaker. this symbiotic design between devices, and the emphasis on portability and convenience, reflects OPPO’s integration of technology and human-centricity in its design philosophy.

in order for users to distinguish between the right and left earbud, each bud features a matte and glossy side. portability was improved by allowing the buds to interlock with each other, minimizing the risk of losing them. the smartwatch and earbud charging case, with the earbuds locked in on the right and left sides, can be placed onto and perfectly integrated with the AI speaker to start charging.

with music-link it’s easy to play your music on the different devices, may it be the earbuds or the speaker, and the change can be done seamlessly. as for the wireless charger, it has been provided with a recessed space that also holds the earbuds, over which the portable charger fits like a cover to allow simultaneous charging. furthermore, a wireless charging function has been built into the portable charger, placing the smartphone yet atop the existing stack allowing for simultaneous charging of all three devices.
