today logitech launched its new identity designed by designstudio. the new look logitech is the product of a year-long collaboration aimed to spearhead the future direction of the brand.


the rebrand ‘reflects a youthful audience’ as the company expands their core PC product range into new territories such as mobility and the connected home. this new identity will be rolled out over the coming year across all touch points including packaging, digital and print.

the new logotype created by designstudio is based on simple geometric shapes and aims to be future facing, a logo that will work on logitech’s existing and future product ranges. you’ll even begin to see a new label – logi – on new product categories for the company.

the logotype nods to logitech’s 30-year heritage with the use of the brown pro typeface, designed by aurèle sack from lausanne, switzerland, the birthplace of logitech and still where its EMEA headquarters are based. the logo also takes inspiration from paul renner’s experimental sketches for his now classic modernist typeface, ‘futura’.


‘as rebrands go, this is more than just a simple update to the marque and a refreshed identity’ – logitech’s CEO bracken darrell comments on the rebrand, ‘we’re putting design at the centre of everything we do. our products have come a long way, and now it’s time to bring the brand forward too.’


during the design process designstudio worked closely with the logitech design team to develop the visual identity system, strategically aligning with the company’s vision of putting design at the core of the business.
