Nikolas Bentel and Anicorn team up to mount the latter’s timepiece, The Trio of Time, onto a mini wearable briefcase, resulting in The Time Traveler’s Watch. The 2-in-1 watch and briefcase set spins time reading and traveling into a fashionable and portable statement as Anicorn’s The Trio of Time watch is planted outside Nik Bentel’s mini wearable briefcase. This watch is also removable from the inside, so the wearer can just use the compact attache case as a sling bag. Just below the timepiece, major cities around the world can let outsiders know where the wearer is traveling. These silver plates are also removable, and four dedicated tags for London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and New York are packed inside the wearable briefcase.

For The Time Traveler Watch, Nik Bentel’s mini wearable briefcase has straps inside to hold items that the user wants to bring with them. The Time Traveler Watch came to life because of the classic designs of time zone wall clocks typically found in stations and major cities. Nik Bentel and Anicorn were inspired by their style and how these wall clocks have become a staple for business people and areas. ‘The goal of a time zone wall clock was to create a universal understanding of time so global trade, flights, and international business meetings could happen on time even with confusing time zones,’ says Nik Bentel and Anicorn.

Nik Bentel and Anicorn add that ‘Graphically, the time zone wall clocks’ design was achieved through the clock’s thick black and white aesthetic, a simple typeface, and straightforward design.’ This universality of wall clocks throughout generations influenced the name of the series as well. In a way, The Time Traveler Watch and its mini wearable briefcase bring back and pay homage to the timeless design of time zone clocks.
