NIKE vapor 360 baseball glove

the NIKE vapor 360 fielding glove is the first-ever to need zero break-in time. designed with insight from carlos gonzalez the NIKE vapor 360 incorporates hyperfuse construction, dynamic NIKE flywire and an engineered leather palm to achieve the first lightweight, ultra-responsive glove that is game-ready right out of the box.

‘we’ve taken a traditional leather for the palm and perforated it to remove some of the structure so it forms more quickly. therefore, the glove is ready to use straight out of the box. the strong and super-light flywire lacing system and high-frequency welded technology make the glove ultra responsive. we inserted a tunable part under the skin, so when the glove is worn, the thumb and pinky can be shaped as the player likes.’ – matthew hudson, NIKE baseball senior designer.

traditional leather baseball gloves can take up to three months of breaking in. with an engineered perforated pattern on the leather palm, the NIKE vapor 360 provides a responsive, game-ready feel without sacrificing strength and structure. popular methods for breaking in a glove, such as using shaving cream, sticking it in an oven or wrapping it with rubber bands can now be left in the past.

by fusing layers of performance synthetics, hyperfuse technology produces a nearly seamless one-piece panel. the NIKE flywire lacing system with dynamic flywire and tunable inserts in the thumb and pinky solidify the structure of the glove, allowing for a player-specific, individualized fit. the instant, precision tuning makes the glove a true extension of the body and allows athletes to make faster split-second movements toward the ball without compromise.

the palm of the glove is completed with NIKE trueadapt heel construction, which eliminates layers and creates a more playable feel. at the inside of the wrist, perforated, soft poron foam enhances the glove’s breathability and overall comfort. finishing the glove is a high-frequency molded web that is lightweight, strong and responsive. the ultra responsive feel, combined with individual fit, dials up the speed to which athletes become comfortable with the glove.
