british-french noon studio (gautier pelegrin and vincent taiani) are presenting two new projects: ‘impact table’ and ‘UFO lamp’ at the 2010 autumn edition of maison et objet, paris. they have collaborated with arkheia, a french manufacturing company specializing in concrete for the two pieces, in which they have tried to use concrete within its possibilities, creating functions from the material itself, elevating the material to a nobler rank.

‘UFO lamp’ profile

‘UFO lamp’ is a shell-shaped floor lamp which is always balancing on one of its sides, offering playfully utilizations. its low energy consuming LED lighting (10W) and the 100% recycling capabilities of the concrete take a step toward cleaner lighting systems.
