with the tokyo olympics approaching, japanese fashion brand BEAMS has launched a special collection that celebrates the emblematic sports event, set to begin on july 23, 2021. the newly released clothing line features a series of everyday apparel and accessory pieces decorated with the distinctive logo, colors, and motifs of the tokyo 2020 olympics.

BEAMS’ collection features numerous crewnecks, t-shirts, hawaiian shirts, bucket hats, baseball caps, as well as drawstring and tote bags, while specialty items include a kimono, surf fin, and skateboard. some of the pieces adopt a more minimal look, with a monochromatic base and olympic-themed graphics and color accents. others are covered in lively patterns expressing a creative reinterpretation of the tokyo olympics checkered circle logo which seeks to symbolize ‘unity in diversity’.
