pli office hosts open call for paris design week exhibition

French publishing house and creative studio Pli office – a brainchild of paf atelier founder Christopher Dessus – has launched an international open call for ‘Tout est Chaos’, a curated exhibition taking place from 10–13 September 2026 during Paris Design Week. The exhibition invites emerging designers, artists, architects, makers, and multidisciplinary creatives to submit objects and installations responding to the theme of chaos: not as destruction, but as a generative force capable of revealing new forms, narratives, and possibilities. The open call closes on 30 June 2026.

‘Tout est chaos’ as A platform for emerging creatives

Presented by Pli office, ‘Tout est Chaos’ aims to bring together a diverse selection of contemporary works that challenge conventional ideas of order and function. The exhibition encourages participants to interpret the theme freely, whether through furniture, objects, material experimentation, collectible design, installation, or hybrid practices. Taking place at historic La Gaîté Lyrique as part of the city-wide programme of Paris Design Week, the exhibition offers selected participants the opportunity to present their work to an international audience of design professionals, curators, collectors, media, and the general public.

This call is open to:

– Students in design, architecture, and art
– Young designers with less than 5 years of professional experience

Conditions for participation:

– Submit 1 object per designer/studio/collective
– Complete the online registration form by June 30
– Choose from a list of phrases/slogans the one that best resonates with the approach and the object
– Pay the registration fee of €6
